B.A. English, minor in Secondary Education, Eastern Mennonite University 2011

M. Ed. Reading, Literacy, and Learning, Longwood University, 2016

Christine is the parent of two current Lourdes students and began teaching at Lourdes in 2025. Previously, she taught high school English for 11 years in Henrico County Public Schools, where she was named the 2025 Hermitage High School Teacher of the Year, Brookland District Teacher of the Year, and Henrico County Teacher of the Year.

Christine believes every student deserves to fall in love with reading and learn to find their writing voice so they can use their words to make a positive difference in the world.

When she isn’t taking her daughters to the Science Museum of Virginia or public library, Christine leads music at her church, explores local coffee shops in Richmond, and serves as a freelance writer for Richmond Magazine. Fun fact: she is married to her high school sweetheart, Randy!
